Lyndsey Decock

Director of EDIA

As an advocate for the educational value of esports, Lyndsey integrates competitive gaming into her teaching to promote teamwork, strategic thinking and digital citizenship. Her leadership in school-based esports programs reflects her belief in the power of play to build community and develop real-world skills. 

She has been actively involved in the esports and education community for several years. In 2023, Lyndsey served on the planning committee for a RETSD esports tournament focused on attracting more female identiying and non-binary students and supported MSEA in commissioning the fall Rocket League season. She has been a dedicated Grade 8 teacher at Chief Peguis Middle School for the past four years, during which she has also proudly led the school's esports program as both coach and director. Academically, she holds a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts focusing on History and Psychology.
 
Her first console was the Nintendo NES, where she played her favourite game, the classic  Super Mario Bros. 3. Her recent favourite title is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
