Senior Years SEE: Thursday, May 21st, 2026
Middle Years SEE: Thursday, May 21st & Friday, May 22nd, 2026
SEE 2026 Schedule is currently the preliminary schedule. Once registration numbers are confirmed, post May 6th, we will be posting a revised schedule.
Please note: Teams will likely not be playing in every slot for that game title. Once the schedule is confirmed with official registrants, commissioners will be reaching out with more information about what the day will look like for that title. Please be aware that there may have to be changes to that plan the day of, if we have teams no-show.
Whether you chose the Early Bird registration or registered for the regular season, we'd love to see you at SEE! This year there will be many competitive as well as casual gaming experiences available to students. All Senior Year titles will take place on Thursday, May 21st. Middle Years titles will be split between Thursday, May 21st and Friday 22nd. Bring students for one, a few, or all of the gaming titles.
Extra Life will be on the scene to fundraise for Winnipeg's Children Hospital and to provide some fun and exciting ways to celebrate gaming and some chances to win prizes. Epson Canada will also be attending with some fantastic giveaways.
Once again Payworks has been incredibly generous in supporting our Game Changer students. If your school registers and participates in ANY Game Changers event during SEE, Payworks Sponsorship will cover the cost of your school's ENTIRE Middle Years registration fee. If you've already paid your fee through the Early Bird option that was offered with MSEA Membership, you will be reimbursed for that cost (i.e Reimbursement of $150 if you are a Middle Years school, $100 if you are a combined Middle Years / Senior Years school).
Rural schools who qualify and attend SEE 2026 will receive a credit toward next year's membership, generously provided by Exchange Technology, Another World VR Winnipeg, and Arctic Wolf.
Expo Times:
Registration on Expo day is from 9:15 - 9:45am
Opening address is at 9:45am.
Gaming begins at 10am.
The day is expected to conclude sometime between 4 and 5pm (depending on the title). More info will be provided by commissioners once registration is finalized. Registration closes Wednesday, May 6th.
While the official schedule will not be finalized until after registration closes, a working copy of the gaming schedule for the day can be found by clicking the following link:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WODr0DNDDKmRL0TCO1jQrdhUNZCxzdtlGSuU175CCZM/edit?usp=sharing
The keynotes, MY lunch, and end of day setup/giveaways are set and confirmed. Each title will have their own format of what the day will look like and commissioners will be filling coaches in. The gaming slots are just the time frames commissioners have to work with to create their gaming sessions throughout the day. Please note: For many titles, schools will likely not be playing in every block for that title. Commissioners will let coaches know which time frame they will be playing in.
Keynote address guests:
Thursday, May 21st: Ace Burpee from 103.1 Virgin Radio
Friday, May 22nd: Maureen Kinnear, Chief Technology Officer from Payworks

Please ensure you are only registering for 1 or 2 titles max for your students. While commissioners will do their best to try to accommodate groups that pick 2 titles, they cannot guarantee participation for both titles (depending on the format of that tournament); especially if the title has a playoff stage. If your students would prefer to be in a particular title, please consider making it the only title that group were to sign up for.
We have so many titles and so little time! If you have students interested in playing a particular title but it doesn't occur on a day you're attending there will be free play opportunities. We are also doing our best to leave some equipment open to make room for ad-hoc tournaments.
Cost:
Many schools chose to pre-pay for SEE using our SEE + Membership combination. If you chose this option, your SEE membership is already paid for and you will see that option on the registration form.
For schools that did not pre-pay for our membership + SEE combination, the costs are:
$150 for one day (Thursday for SY; Thursday or Friday for MY)
$250 for both days (MY or MY/SY combined)
If you are bringing a MY game changer team, the registration cost for your school will be covered by Payworks. In the event you had chosen the SEE + Membership combination option, a reimbursement will be given for the difference. *Please note: The combination option was already a discounted SEE cost so it would be the difference between the full amount and the regular season cost.

What is SEE?
The Scholastic Esports Expo (SEE) is a two-day event that celebrates gaming and fosters a vibrant community in Manitoba. It offers opportunities for school aged students to compete in esports tournaments, attend workshops, and meet with local vendors.
About the Event
The inaugural Scholastic Esports Expo (SEE) took place in May of 2023. Since then, SEE has attracted many schools across MB and over 500 attendees. Hosted at the Red River College Polytechnic's Manitou a bi Bii daziigae building in Winnipeg's Exchange District, the event has already led to a significant surge in MSEA membership and participation, with projected doubled registration numbers for future seasons.

Event Structure
◾ Each day has its own tournament, with game titles for the Middle Years and the Senior Years.
◾ Schools bring teams one or more of the titles being offered to either compete in a tournament, or experience the game in a casual gaming setting.
◾ There is a keynote address on each day and some fantastic opportunities to win prizes thanks to both Extra Life Winnipeg and Epson Canada.

Partners & Sponsors

The Need for Partners & Sponsors
We are looking for partners & sponsors to help maximize our impact. Our volunteers, community, and venue are ready to go, but we need your support to help us grow.
Our partners & sponsors help ensure the success of each event but also have the opportunity to showcase their products and services at a time when many students and schools are moving toward building esports labs and promoting competing in-person at schools.

Partnership Opportunities
We are always looking for ways to partner with our community and organizations. If you are interested in a partnership, please reach out to our chair at chair@msea.gg
